Second Frost Farm is a small scale, high production, MOFGA certified organic vegetable operation and lacto-fermentary!
The farm currently has just over one acre of land in vegetable production, including 4 unheated high tunnels and 2 seasonal caterpillar tunnels which allow us to produce nearly year round. We utilize low-till and majority human-powered farm practices as we work towards our vision of improving soil health, building climate resilience and nourishing our community- both on and off the farm! We sell the vast majority of our farm products at two local farmers’ markets where we work with other vendors and the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Market to expand food access in the mid-coast.
